INSECT IDENTIFICATION
FOR NON-COMMERCIAL PURPOSES

I offer free insect identification, as far as can be determined, from descriptions or images sent via E-Mail - but please note that precise identification may not be possible from this service since many insects require microscopic examination in order to determine their species. Identification will also depend on the detail and quality of the description and/or image provided.

Alternatively (for UK residents only), I can identify posted samples but there is a charge for this service as detailed below :

DOMESTIC RATE 10.00 GBP (£10.00) PER SAMPLE

Samples should be sent to D A Kendall, Kendall Bioresearch Services, 2 Birchdene, Nailsea, Bristol, North Somerset BS48 1QD, in a small, secure, plastic container packaged to fit a standard letterbox, including your contact details (name, address & email) and payment in cash, GB postal order or cheque (payable to D A Kendall or Kendall Bioresearch Services), or payment can be made by credit/debit card via my website link to the PayPal secure server (go to Credit/Debit Card Payments from the Site Guide). Identification, generally down to species, advised by E-Mail (or post if preferred) on clearance of payment (usually within 5 working days).

Please note that the above services and rates are only for non-commercial domestic and educational purposes where no property inspection, potential litigation, formal reports for third-party use, etc., are involved (i.e. for personal use only). Commercial rates for insect identification and other professional services are available on request.
